Columbia

One sepia-toned photograph of the passenger ferry, SS Columbia, in dry dock at the Detroit Dry Dock Company. The view shows a starboard side stern view of the hull. Many workmen are standing on the deck and several structural columns have been set in place for future completion of the upper decks and cabin structures. A large rudder and 4-blade propeller can be seen below the waterline to the left. A trestle and gantry crane are visible in the background area of the shipyard. A dock and open water are visible in the foreground.
