Columbia

One sepia-toned photograph of the passenger ferry, SS Columbia, in dry dock at the Detroit Dry Dock Company. The view shows a starboard side stern view of the hull and main deck. Many workmen are standing on deck and several structural columns have been set in place for future completion of the upper decks and cabin structures. A large rudder and 4-blade propeller can be seen below the waterline. A trestle and gantry crane are visible in the left background area of the shipyard. Open water and a distant shoreline are visible to the right.
