Bowl, Sugar

One sugar bowl from a dining room of one of the steamships of the Algoma Central Railway fleet. The round bowl is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a wide top with a removable lid, a rounded top edge, curved sides, and a base that tapers inward to form a narrow round base. A narrow red stripe encircles the bowl along the top edge. A red/white/black image of the "Algoma Central Marine" company flag is stamped on the side beneath the red stripe. The removable lid has a gently-sloped top surface and a flat knob at the center that has a narrow red stripe along the outer edge. The edge of the lid has a lip on the underside which fits the top edge of bowl. The underside is stamped with a small portcullis grate logo and black text that reads "Steelite International, England."
