Plate, Bread

One bread plate from a passenger steamship dining room of the Georgian Bay Line. The round plate is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a flat, upturned rim with a thickened outer edge, a narrow red stripe along the outer edge, and a narrow green stripe along the inner edge. At a break in the inner stripe, a small red drawing shows a ship's wheel, an anchor, two steamships, seagulls, and a company flag. The underside is stamped with black text that reads "Mayer China, Beaver Falls, PA," and "155."
