Plate, Dessert
One dessert plate from the dining room of the passenger steamship, SS North American, of the Chicago, Duluth & Georgian Bay Transit Company. The round plate is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a flat, upturned rim with a thickened outer edge. A green rope design is stamped on the top surface of the plate along the midpoint of the rim. At a break in the rope, a small green drawing that depicts a ship's wheel and ship is stamped on the rim along with text that reads "Lake Trips That Have No Equal, C. D. & G. B. T. Co. [Chicago, Duluth & Georgian Bay Transit Company]." The underside is stamped with green text that reads "O.P. Co., Syracuse China," and "N-2."
