Plate, Butter

One small butter plate from the dining room of the passenger steamship, SS North American, of the Chicago, Duluth & Georgian Bay Transit Company. The round plate is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has short curved sides with a rounded top edge. A blue rope design is stamped on the top surface of the plate along the sides. A small blue drawing, consisting of a ship's wheel and ship, is stamped at the center along with text that reads "Lake Trips That Have No Equal, C. D. & G. B. T. Co. [Chicago, Duluth & Georgian Bay Transit Company]." No manufacturer's name or marks are shown.
