Pot, Mustard

One mustard pot from a dining room of the Pickands Mather & Company steamship fleet. The circular pot is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a wide top with a removable lid, a wide rounded edge at the rim, vertical sides, and a wide rounded edge at the base. The removable lid has a round knob at the center, a notch at the outer edge for a small spoon, and narrow black/brown lines that encircle the top at the midpoint between the knob and outer edge. Matching narrow black and brown stripes encircle the sides of the pot just below the midpoint. One side of the pot is stamped above the stripes with the circular, black/brown "PM" company logo. The underside is stamped with black text that reads "Walker China, Vitrified," and "Bedford, Ohio, 5-44."
