Teapot

One small teapot from a dining room of the Pickands Mather & Company steamship fleet. The pot is made of heavyweight white glazed china. It has a narrow top with a curved spout, a circular removable depressed lid, and a small curved handle with a flat thumb rest. The lid has a knob at the center, and narrow black and brown stripes are painted along the outer edge. Matching black and brown stripes encircle the pot at the midpoint. The circular, black/brown "PM" company logo is stamped on both sides above the stripes along with brown text that reads "Canada." The underside is stamped with black text that reads "Walker China, Vitrified," and "Bedford, Ohio, 5-44."
