The photo show a view along the new Erie dry dock being constructed by Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company for Litton Industries. In the center area of the photo, a survey crew is taking elevation measurements while a backhoe and other construction vehicles can be seen at work in the muddy excavation. The frameworks of two large buildings can be seen under construction onshore in the background. Handwritten ink text on the verso shows "DL 3996, 9/13/68."
