One black and white photograph of marine construction work being done on the Livingstone Channel in the lower Detroit River. The photo shows exposed earth along the bottom of the de-watered channel area. Several timber structures can be seen in the background along with temporary towers which supported overhead cableways for 10-ton skips (large bins) that were used to remove excavated material from the project area. Handwritten text along the lower left edge of the photo reads "Glacial Drift and Bed Rock, Livingstone Channel." The work was done by the Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company.
