Print. Mounted black and white photographic print depicting a northward view at night along Grand River Avenue at Lesure Street, as indicated on verso. Four square objects have been set up at three different distances from the camera in the street, presumably to demonstrate light levels and shadows from the streetlights overhead. The Hygiene Equipment Company, a gas station, a restaurant advertising fish and chips and Coca-Cola, and a Sanders are visible in the background. Cars are parked along the side of the street, and streetcar rails run through the center. "Jan-12th 1937, 14583-2," printed at lower right. Verso also includes the typed details:
Lamp - 10,000 lumen 20 ampere base down
Glassware - light alabaster
Fixture - upright
Mounting height - 18 ft.
Pavement - dry concrete
Targets - 60, 125, 250 ft. from camera
