Photograph. Sepia-toned photo of a group of men who are inspecting and discussing pavement construction on Woodward Avenue. The men are probably city and county officials (City of Detroit and Wayne County Board of Commissioners) and other agency officials. They are all well-dressed and most of them are wearing overcoats and hats. A Central Storage Company truck can be seen in the right background. A typewritten note on the verso shows "Wayne Co., Mich., Clinton H. Fisk, Chief Engineer of Construction, St. Louis, Mo., making a close examination of Woodward Ave., which has carried over seven million vehicles. It was built in 1909."
