Hook
Latches. Second in a series of five cabin hook-style latch hooks; hook is affixed to a partial ring on a mounting plate; hook is decorated with a double barrel ornamentation at the center of its shaft; the short top and bottom of the mounting plate have scalloped edges, while the two long sides are flat; mounting plate also features two vertically aligned nail or screw holes; recovered from wreck of the schooner ALVIN CLARK, which foundered in Lake Michigan in 1864.
