Transparency, Slide
One color slide transparency that shows an image of the Detroit 250th Birthday parade which took place on Saturday, July 28, 1951, on Woodward Avenue. The view looks northeastward from the west side of Woodward Avenue at Charlotte Street. Woodward Avenue can be seen in the foreground along with a line of floats. Stores, office buildings, and spectators can be seen on both sides of Woodward. Several policemen are standing in front of the crowds at the left side of the photo. The rounded dome of the Bonstelle Theatre can be seen in the center background. Handwritten blue ink text on the cardboard slide frame reads "Aug., 1951, Det. Parade."
