Cup, Coffee
One coffee cup and saucer from the dining room of the bulk carrier, MV ROGER BLOUGH, of the United States Steel Corporation. Both pieces are made of white glazed china. The cup has a rounded top edge, curved sides, and a plain round handle with a narrow red stripe on the outside. A narrow red stripe encircles the cup on the outside top edge. The company logo, consisting of a red circle with the letters, "USS," at the center, is stamped on the front side of the cup. The saucer has plain, curved sides with a thickened outer edge. Narrow red stripes encircle the saucer on the outside top edge and at the cup base. Also, a matching company logo is stamped on the top surface of the saucer just below the outer edge. The underside of the cup is stamped with black text that reads "Mayer China, Beaver Falls, PA, U.S.A." and "466." The saucer is stamped with black text on the underside that reads "Mayer China, Beaver Falls, PA, U.S.A.," and "363."
