Plate, Butter
One butter plate from a dining room of one of the steamships of the United States Steel Corporation fleet. The round plate is made of white glazed china. It has a narrow, slightly-upturned rim and a rounded outer edge. Narrow dark gray stripes encircle the rim along the outer and inner edges. The company logo, "US Steel," is stamped in dark gray text at the center of the plate. The underside is stamped with black text that reads "Mayer China, Est. 1881," and "18."
