Plate, Butter
One small butter plate from a dining room of the Pickands Mather & Company steamship fleet. The round plate is made of heavyweight white glazed china. It has a thick slightly-curved, upturned rim. Narrow blue and red stripes encircle the top surface of the plate along the inner edge of the rim. A red/white/blue image of the "PM Co." company flag is stamped at the center. No manufacturer's name or marks are shown.
