Teapot

One small teapot from a dining room of the Pickands Mather & Company steamship fleet. The pot is made of heavyweight white glazed china. It has a small top with a curved spout, a circular removable depressed lid, and a small curved handle with a flat thumb rest. The lid has a knob at the center, and narrow red and blue stripes encircle the top surface along the midpoint. Matching red and blue stripes encircle the pot just above the midpoint. A red/white/blue image of the "PM Co." company flag is stamped on both sides of the pot above the stripes. The underside is stamped with black text that reads "Walker China, Vitrified," and "Bedford, Ohio, 7-34."
