Sauceboat
One large sauceboat (gravy boat) from a dining room of the Pickands Mather & Company steamship fleet. The oval-shaped sauceboat is made of heavyweight white glazed china. It has an open top with a rounded rim, a long wide spout, gently-curved sides, a curved handle with a thumb rest, and an oval-shaped base. Narrow red and blue stripes encircle the boat at the midpoint and follow the curve of the top rim. A red/white/blue image of the "PM Co." company flag is stamped on one side of the boat above the stripes. A narrow red stripe is painted along the outside surface of the handle. The underside is stamped with black text that reads "Walker China, Vitrified," and "Bedford, Ohio, 2-38."
