Black and white photograph (and 2 copies) of the crane which was used to disinter the casket of the first Governor of Michigan, Stevens T. Mason, in Capitol Park, Detroit, on June 1, 1955. Two onlookers are visible in the foreground with the Griswold Building visible across Griswold Street in the background. Several business signs can be seen in the background including Atlas Furs, Friedberg's Diamonds, Surety Savings, General Public Loans, and Peters Town & Sports Shop. The casket was reburied at a new location in Capitol Park on December 5, 1955.
