Black and white photograph (and 2 copies) Capitol Park, Detroit, prior to the relocation of the Governor Stevens T. Mason grave and monument. The photo shows several sections of fence railing which have been removed in preparation for the relocation. Downtown buildings and businesses are visible in the background including Atlas Furs, Friedberg's Diamonds, and Surety Savings. The Governor's grave was exhumed June 2, 1955. His monument was moved to a new location in Capitol Park and his casket was reburied there on December 5, 1955.
