One black and white photograph of the Flynn Memorial Pavilion under construction on Belle Isle in Detroit. The view looks eastward across the construction site and shows a close-up image of the southwest corner of the building. New exterior walls of natural fieldstone can be seen in the foreground along with interior plumbing as well as steel and wood framing for the building. Temporary wood bracing can be seen along the south side of the new building at the right side of the photo. A small title block in the lower right corner has printed text that reads " City of Detroit, Contract No. PR-63, Flynn Memorial, Emil Van Sile Co., East from SW [Southwest] Corner Bldg., Photo No. 10, Date: 8-12-49, Lens-Art Photographers." The photo is mounted on white canvas and includes a canvas strip along the left edge to allow for placement in a binder or album.
