Drawing

One drawing and one set of photographs. Upper drawing on paper, mounted on board, depicting a view of the Detroit River from Fort Wayne. The drawing illustrates several proposed additions and restorations to the Historic Fort Wayne Grounds from the mid-1960s, including an Industrial History Museum, a missile monument, and a riverfront promenade. The drawing also features a view of downtown Detroit, visible in the upper left, Rever Copper and Brass to the right of that, the Canadian shore, visible across the Detroit River, and a Detroit Edison facility in the background on the right side of the drawing. Several groups of people are depicted standing along the railing of the riverfront promenade, looking over the grounds and across the river. The lower portion features 6 black and white photographs mounted side by side on board, shows a view from the south corner of old Fort Wayne, showing roughly the same space as the upper drawing, with writing in black marker designating the sites of Reveer [sic] Copper and Brass, a 1200' open river frontage, building 9, the parade field, and Detroit Edison. Each of the photographs contains the text "Nov 65" on the upper border.
