Drawing

Drawing on paper, mounted on board, depicting proposed historic periods and interest groupings as part of a proposed Fort Wayne restoration project from the mid-1960s. The drawing shows several proposed changes to the grounds in an effort to group buildings and lands to certain historical time periods, including 1700-1750s on the southwest corner, featuring a reconstructed Fort Pontchartrain and a French strip farm, a 1890s military post unit on the northwest corner, the 1840s-1860s as represented by the Fort Wayne Military Museum unit on the northeast corner, the 1890s-1930s in the center of the grounds, featuring a bandstand, and the 1860s-1960s in the middle of the grounds near the riverfront featuring a Detroit Military Production museum. Also depicted on the drawing are a proposed rerouting of West Jefferson Avenue, including a proposed green triangle in its place, and a possible boat launching site on the southeast corner of the grounds.
