Saints Peter and Paul Church
Color lithograph, mounted on board, of a painting of Saints Peter and Paul Church by William A. Bostick. It is one of a series of twelve pieces entitled the "The Woods, Bricks, and Stones of Detroit, Vol. I."The piece is numbered 5/50 on the lower left and signed and dated "Wm A. Bostick 1974" on the lower right. The painting shows the southwest corner of the Church at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and St. Antoine. The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Building and the Old St. Mary's Catholic Church are shown to the back left and are drawn closer to the Saints Peter and Paul Church than they are in actuality.
A label on the verso reads as follows:

Built in 1848, the Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church is the oldest church building in Detroit. It is a brick, three-aisled basilican structure in the Italian Renaissance style. It was designed by Francis Letourno, one of Michigan's earliest known architects.
